Well it wasn't that bad. Ha, luckily our house is cold, so the liquid cooled off enough by the time it hit my pants. Plus it splashed off the counter first. I should clarify it wasn't the whole pot... I was trying to drain it over the sink (not using a strainer, while simultaneously talking on the phone.) Lost my grip. And half the tortellini.
